Which Home Builder Grants Are Available To You?


Offered by the Federal Government, HomeBuilder is a $15,000 grant available to eligible owner-occupiers to build a new home or substantially renovate an existing home. HomeBuilder assists the residential construction sector by encouraging the commencement of new home builds and renovations.

HomeBuilder Program Includes:

  • A $15,000 grant for building contracts (new builds and substantial renovations) signed between 1 January 2021 and 31 March 2021, inclusive.
  • Applications can now be submitted up until 14 April 2021.
  • The existing new build property price cap of $750,000 will continue to apply in Western Australia.

First Home Loan Deposit Scheme

Beginning 1 January 2020, the Australian Government designed an initiative to support eligible home buyers to purchase their first home.

10,000 scheme places were made available in the first release, with 3,000 registered within the first few weeks!

There are several criteria that will need to be met to satisfy eligibility including an income test, prior property ownership, citizenship, minimum age, deposit etc.

First Home Owners Grant

Building your first home is one of the biggest and most exciting decisions you will ever make!

Helping first home buyers in Perth take this step is the $10,000 First Home Owners Grant which is available to those building a brand new home.

The First Home Owners Grant is financial assistance awarded by the government to help people of Perth make the first step into home-ownership.

Building with Residential Building WA, one of Perth’s top builders, the First Home Owners Grant can go so much further. You’ll be able to add the personal touches to your home such as feature pendants or having a bit extra at Pre-Start to make your first home absolutely perfect.


Keystart is a ‘Low Deposit’ home loan which is available to anyone who qualifies under the current income limits, as a generous initiative of the Western Australian Government. As long as you don’t currently own any home or land at the time of settlement, then this home loan is available to first time and subsequent home buyers.

To qualify, potential buyers must not exceed the income caps set out.

Single earning up to $105,000

Couples earning up to $130,000

Families earning up to $155,000

In addition to the provision of affordable finance options, Keystart’s most attractive feature is the requirement for a minimal deposit. It can be from as low as 2% of the property’s total purchase price. And this is an ideal solution for first home buyers, particularly those who are renting, as the First Home Owner’s Grant can help to contribute towards the deposit.

Another significant feature from Keystart is that they do not require Lenders Mortgage Insurance (LMI). This is a major cost-saving, which can save tens of thousands.
